Twenty young people from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan visited Japan at the invitation of JICE (Japan Centre for International Exchange).
The aim of this exchange programme is to let young people from overseas get to know and become fans of Japan.
We organised a yukata dressing experience event in Hakuba.
I am glad everyone enjoyed it.
It was only for about two hours after dinner, but everyone had a lot of fun in yukata, playing kendama, imitating samurai and taking photos.
We also gave them a lecture on how to wear a kimono and how to sit, walk and bow when wearing a kimono.
They even sat properly for the group photo.
We also enjoyed hearing about the ethnic costumes of Bhutan and India.

The people of Bhutan, the land of happiness, gave me a handmade misanga to wear on my right wrist😊.
I feel like I’ve been given a share of happiness.
